Event: Makoto Taiko 10th Anniversary Celebration Date: Saturday August 22, 2009 Makoto Taiko, originally Shumei America Taiko Group, began in 1999 under the leadership of Steven Tokunaga. Makoto Taiko currently performs under the direction of Koji Nakamura, a former leader of the Shumei Taiko Ensemble.
