LI'S BALLET Li’s Ballet Studio was founded in 1993 by Ms. Li Zhang, a nationally recognized prima ballerina in China and a gold medalist in the 7th Concours International de Danse Classique in Paris, and by her husband, Mr. Zhi Quan Zhao, a former premier danseur with the Shanghai Ballet Company. The Studio has since bloomed into a dance academy with students aged from 5 to 18. It teaches classical ballet fundamentals and provides opportunities for students of all levelsto perform on stage. Every year Li's Ballet Studio highlights students' achievement in two productions held in San Gabriel Mission Playhouse. Its classical ballet repertoire includes Coppelia, Paquita, Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and The Nutcracker. To complement the ballet training, Li's ventured into a series of exploratory program including modern dance, lyrical, hip-hop, salsa, ballroom dance, and Broadway musicals.
